You are invited to join the Riverland Terrace Garden Club

Our mission: To promote gardening, floral design, environmental responsibility and civic beautification in our own yards and beyond the garden gate.

Membership dues: $20.00 per year, payable to RTGC, 2171 Welch Ave, James Is, SC 29412

Meetings: Held from 10A - 12N on the first Tuesday of each month at Bethany Methodist Church

RTGC meetings begin with a brief business discussion, followed by our guest speaker of the month and finish with a floral design and horticultural competition, followed by refreshments. Members are encouraged to create floral designs from flowers and greenery found in their own yards or purchased from a local flower supplier.  Horticulture must be grown by the garden club member for at least 90 days. Designs are judged using the standards of the National Garden Club's Handbook for Flower Shows.

Speaker Topics this year include: Growing Herbs, Grafting Camellias, Container Gardening, Organic Gardening and Composting, Shade Gardening, Building a Backyard Habitat, as well as a series of Floral Design Workshops by local flower show judges and past blue-ribbon winners.

If you wish to participate in our neighborhood garden club, please contact our membership chairperson, Bert Kilpatrick at 762-0318 or email
